Kay had sent out materials related to a student complaint about the Fall, 2001, unit of CPE. Chapter members had received them ahead of time, and acted as a consultation body. Joe Whalen convened the group and will send a written report to her administrator. The chapter found no evidence of any "breach of ethics" as claimed by the student.
Gino reported on the many changes in his life since he moved to Chicago. In addition, his order has bought a new house, and he will be moving again soon. He described his work at Loyola, and talked about his hopes that he will be involved in supervising CPE in the near future.
Henry shared some personal material, as well as additional information about a student's legal action for having been dismissed from the CPE program. Members of the chapter offered him an opportunity to explore additional options.
Joe talked about his experiences with a particular CPE student with whom he was having trouble communicating. He described the person's apparent inability to understand what was said. The chapter made some suggestions, and raised questions about the student's receiving credit for the unit.
Ben shared some of the learning that he and Kay have been doing in the area of Neuro Linguistic Programming, and talked about the possibility of their offering a workshop at the next CPSP Plenary meeting in 2003.
