Marjorie Ruth Houk Ballinger, 89, died in Indianapolis, IN, on March 12, 2001.

She had been director of the Wesley Foundation at Iowa Teachers College, Cedar Falls, IA, Washington State University, and Miami University, Oxford, OH.  Previously, she was assistant director the for the American Red Cross, Camp Stoneman, CA.

She was a volunteer 20 years for Methodist Hospital.

She was a member of Speedway United Methodist Church.

Memorial services:  1:30 p.m. March 16 in Chapel Hill United Methodist Church.

Survivors:  husband the Rev. Malcolm B. Ballinger; daughters Carol A. Sypher, Alice R. Stevenson; stepson David L. Ballinger; four grandchildren.
